I recently dined at Sushi on Fire and had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly attentive, promptly clearing dirty and used dishes without any delay. They were exceptionally patient and thoughtful with children at our table. When one of our kids accidentally spilled a drink, they cleaned it up quickly and with a smile. The quality of the sushi was outstanding. We enjoyed a variety of rolls, each one fresh and delicious. It was clear that a lot of care and expertise went into their preparation. Overall, Sushi on Fire provided a delightful dining experience for the whole family. Highly recommended!
We were in the area, for a bonfire, so we decided to eat here before heading to it. We arrived around 4 pm, it was somewhat busy but several tables were available, but I imagine it can get busy specially on the weekend. There is outside seating as well. It took a few minutes to get greeted, and ordered drinks. They do have beers, but bottled only. They have huge selection of cut rolls, their menu also has pictures. My husband ordered the sashimi, and I ordered the roll on fire. We ordered a kids teriyaki, and also spicy edamame. A few items came out really fast, but my the roll on fire and the edamame took way longer. I liked that the food came out fast, but not all of what we ordered. It's annoying when restaurants only send out some of the entrees but not all. It leaves the person who still doesn't have their food, sitting there awkwardly. We had to remind the server about the two items that were still missing. The rolls are actually pretty big, and tasty. I usually order 1-2 rolls, but one rolls was enough.
We've been coming by here since it opened, great sushi a fun spot to visit on Main Street. Friendly staff
Wow...Las Vegas roll was amazing and the Unagi Sushi was melt in your mouth. Sorry Kenzo in Yuba City CA - Sushi on Fire has surpassed you as the best. Service was a little cold but everything else - the table outside, the food, and the HUGE menu more than made up for it. We'll be back!
I stand by my previous review: incredible food, fast service, and dog-friendly (plus pescavegan and food-allergy friendly). Take it from someone who has moved from LA, and nom'd in Orange County for over a year. Sushi on Fire is a must whether you're a tourist hungry for the best of Huntington, or an O.C. native yearning for quality sushi. Sake pictured is now my go-to, so drink up for that Cali-drenched goodness.
This place never disappoints...I wanted to update my review because I just had to post more pictures!
Sushi on Fire is one of my all-time favorite sushi spots. Every time I'm in town, I make it a point to visit. Even if there's a short wait, it's absolutely worth it. The sauces are what truly set this place apart--they're so delicious that I often ask for them on the side to control the amount. Everything here has a unique twist, making each visit special. The spicy tuna crispy rice is a standout appetizer and my personal favorite. If you're looking for a memorable sushi experience, Sushi on Fire is the place to go!
The salmon sushi pieces were extremely fresh, buttery, and awesome. The Toro sushi was fine. The tuna sushi was good. Next time we'll get nothing but salmon sushi pieces. Plus of course our favorite New York roll.
Sushi on fire is the best in Huntington Beach. It is the sexiest place to be seen and the staff is always friendly. It gets packed on Friday and Saturday nights so be prepared. You can always count on a beautiful sunset with the palm trees out front. Patio dining in the summer is the best. They are dog friendly and people tolerant. :)
Sushi on fire on Main Street is always satisfying. My husband and I have gone a couple of times and we have always had a good experience. The service is always very attentive and speedy, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Their garlic spicy edamame is delicious and we always start out with that. The crispy rice spicy tuna is a great appetizer. It's the best thing on the menu in my opinion. The baked salmon roll is my go to anywhere I go, and this place makes a really good one. This restaurant does not have a cocktail menu. Only beer, sake, and wine available. Reasonable prices from what I saw, and I am not aware of if they have a happy hour or not. They have indoor and outdoor seating and additional seating at their second restaurant just a couple of spaces away called shabu on fire which serves the same sushi menu as sushi on fire, and the food comes just as promptly as if ordered at sushi on fire. It's always busy at sushi on fire, and Friday nights is a very busy time to go.
